Compounds and compositions for treatment of ocular hypertension.

Compounds for treating ocular hypertension by topical administration are the C1-C8 alkanoyl diesters of alpha -methyl epinephine and alpha -methyl norepinephine and the pharmacologically acceptable acid salts thereof. Compositions containing alpha -methyl epinephrine, alpha -methyl norepinephrine, their C1-C8 alkanoyl diesters and the pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof are also disclosed.
