The water irrigating process uses individually spaced distribution pipes with end fittings (20), which are perforated over their full length. The pipes are dragged over the ground by a mobile member e.g spray bar (2) to which their non-perforated ends are connected, the fittings using a laterally elongated cross-section to maintain their angular relationship with the ground. The fitting geometry is such that the perforations emit water to the sides of lines comprised of relatively stable pipe trajectories, the ground traversed by the pipes remaining relatively dry. Geometrical options of the distribution pipes may include a double pipe of a dumbell cross-section, a single pipe mounted centrally on a tangential sole plate, or compound fittings with three or four pipes side by side. |
