PURPOSE:To contrive to set the revolving number of idling at a low speed and reduce the fuel consumption of the carburettor by a method wherein a trap plate extending obliquely and downwardly from the end face of a suction piston located at the low suction air volume position of the venturi section is provided in the carburettor. CONSTITUTION:The venturi section 5 is formed above a throttle valve 4 by the side wall surface 3a of a suction path and the end face 8a of the suction piston 8. The trap plate 12 of a flat plate, which is extending obliquely and downwardly from the upper end thereof located immediately below substantially the idle position of the end face 8a of the suction piston 8 to the lower end thereof screwed into the side wall surface 3a of the suction path, is provided. According to this method, the fuel adhered to the end face 8a of the suction piston is moved sequentially to the side wall 3a of the suction path of the opposite side and is flowed into the engine suction pipe continuously upon a low suction air volume operation including the idling operation, therefore, the stability of the revolving number of idling may be improved. |
