PURPOSE:To make a VTR small-sized and its weight light, by driving a tape reel stand of a magnetic recorder and reproducer with a pickup lens driving motor for a video camera. CONSTITUTION:A coil 38b is excited at recording and a plunger 38a is extracted, a lever 37 is turned and a gear 25 is geared with a gear 24. Thus, the torque of a motor 18 is delivered to the gear 24 and a lens system such as a zoom driving mechanism is driven. At reproduction, a coil 38b is demagnetized, the gear 25 is linked with a gear 27, and the torque of the motor 18 is delivered to a gear 40a with the gear 27 and belts 31, 32 and 41. The torque of the winding reel driving stand 45 of a tape 11 is delivered with another driving source from a gear 43 at normal speed for normal rotation, and at high speed search, the gear 40a, a winding reel driving stand 45 or a supply reel driving stand 46 are linked and the tape is carried in a high speed with the torque of the motor 18.
