PURPOSE:To divide the concentration of a color original into plural stages and to extract the concentration information, by providing an incident light control means to a TV camera and carrying out the photographing while controlling the incident light. CONSTITUTION:A color original 1 is photographed by a TV camera 3 via a filter 2. The output of the camera 3 is converted into a digital form through an A/D converter 4 and fed to a computer 6 via an interface 5 to be used for the process of the original image information. A diaphragm is available in place of the filter 2 as long as the incident light from the original 1 can be controlled in order to make up for the lack of the dynamic range of the camera 3. Thus the image 1 is divided into plural stages of concentration to be photographed by means of those above-mentioned incident light control means. As a result, the dynamic range of the camera 3 can be increased equivalently. |
