PURPOSE:To improve the precision of electronic editing and to speed the editing by varying the extent of delay of the playback signal of each tape according to the difference between address codes at an editing point and a current playback position of each tape, and matching playback signals of respective tapes at the editing point position. CONSTITUTION:Address codes which correspond to editing points of tapes 2 and 3 are read by an editing device 8 in a CPU18 and then stored in an RAM29 as editing point information. After respective tapes are rewound in a player 9 and a recorder 10 by prescribed extents, they are placed in a playback state. Then, address codes which correspond to playback sound signals of those tapes are read in the CPU18; differences Lp(t) and LR(t) from pieces of editing point information are calculated, and DELTAL=LP(t)-LR(t) is calculated. Then, the playback signal from the tape 2 or 3 is delayed by DELTAL behined each editing point and when the CPU18 detects the tape reaching the editing point by each address code, editing operation is started. |
