PURPOSE:To make uniform the temperature distribution and the specific gravity distribution of an electrolyte in a container to increase the life performance of a battery by stirring the electrolyte by repeatation of the expansion and contraction movement of an expansion tube. CONSTITUTION:By operation of a compressor 6, compressed air is cooled with a cooler and supplied in a liquid cooling tube 9 and an upper expansion tube 10A. The volume of the upper expansion tube 10A is increased and thereby, a lower expansion tube 10B is compressed and contracted. The expansion and contraction movement of the expansion tubes 10A, 10B moves their bellows walls in the direction of length to stir an electrolyte 2. The contraction of the lower expansion tube 10B increases the air pressure within the tube, and closes an air check valve 15 and opens a check valve 13, and the air compressed inside the expansion tube 10B is released in a form of bubble f into the electrolyte 2 from an air releasing hole 12a. The bubble rises through the electrolyte from the bottom and contributes to the stirring the electrolyte. |
