PURPOSE:To reduce the size and weight of the titled machine sharply by a simple mechanism by a method wherein the large-diametered ends of two piston rods are made to take reciprocating linear motions so that four cylinders are constituted by a single crank pin. CONSTITUTION:Disks 3 and 4 inscribing rings 5 and 6 forming the large-diametered ends of two piston rods, respectively, are formed integral with each other in such a manner that the centers of the disks 3 and 4 are spaced from each other by a distance two times the radius of a crankshaft and bearings 12 through which the crank pin 11 passes are provided at the centers of the disks 3 and 4, respectively. Further, cylinders 9 and 10 are arranged normal to each other so as to enable pistons 7 and 8 corresponding to the rings 5 and 6 to take reciprocating motions in the directions normal to each other. With the above structure, when the crankshaft 13 is rotated, the disks 3 and 4 rotates of itself about the crank pin 11 at the same speed in the direction reverse to the crankshaft 13 and the pistons 7 and 8 take reciprocating linear motions within the cylinders 9 and 10, respectively, so that it becomes possible to constitute four cylinders by the crank pin 11. |
