<p>The casting process is used to make composite products, comprised in part of concrete with vibration applied to a relatively resilient rubber mould (3). The product comprises a slab of cellular material (1) sandwiched by concrete (2,2), the layers being placed in the mould in sequence (2,1,2) before vibration takes place. A variation of the process uses demountably connected modules to build a multiple mould to which vibration is applied and which produces several articles. The modules constituting the multiple mould may be of two part construction.</p> |
