PURPOSE:To obtain a nonpoisonous, inexpensive optical information recording member of uniform quality which has excellent stability in storage, by performing a heat treatment after applying and drying a paint, obtained by dispersing organic silver salt in a resin solution, over a substrate, and thus forming a silver mirror. CONSTITUTION:A paint prepared by dispersing silver salt, etc., such as behenic acids, benzotriazole silver, and mercaptoxadiazole in a solution of polyvinyl butyral, methyl cellulose, etc., is applied over a substrate such as a glass plate, polyimide, a metallic plate, etc., and then dried, and a treat treatment is carried out at 100-350 deg.C to form a silver mirror. This recording member is irradiated with a laser beam to obtain optical record with good contrast. A reducing agent such as hydroquinone is added to the paint together with silver salt to lower the temperature of the formation of the silver mirror. Thus, an inexpensive redording member is obtained without using poisonous metals (Te, Bi, etc.). |
