PURPOSE:To obtain easily an arrayed flat microlens having high image-forming performance, by forming a mask with a quick drying adhesive when the microlens is produced with a half polymer plate by a diffusion process. CONSTITUTION:A flat half polymer is first produced, and a proper mask A is produced containing round holes formed into a designed lens array. The mask A is fitted to the half polymer with application of a quick drying adhesive. After the hardening, the mask is removed to obtain a half polymer B containing an array of round masks. The polymer B is then dipped in a monomer of a low refractive index and then polymerized for a proper period of time. As a result, a polymer having a high refractive index at the center of the round mask and a lower refractive index toward the circumference area of the mask is obtained since the polymerization is carried out with the diffusion of a monomer of a low refractive index. Then such polymer is polished to easily obtain a flat microlens of an array with high image-forming performance. |
