摘要 PURPOSE:To change the ignition timing and the level of igniting energy for a gasoline engine, by providing a pulse generating means and control means, and driving a transistor connected between a DC-DC converter and a boosting transformer. CONSTITUTION:A transistor 10 is connected between a DC-DC converter 1 and a boosting transformer 11, and a rotation sensor 6 is also provided for detecting particular positions 19 of a flywheel 18 which is driven with a distributor board 16. The sensor 6 is designed to produce pulse signals. Here, arrangement is such that spark plugs 17 produce an optimal spark suited for the operational conditions of an engine by controlling the pulse signals produced by the sensor 6 to obtain an optimum ignition timing at a phase control section 4 and an optimum energy at a pulse-width control section 3, and driving the transistor 10 by a driver 2. By employing such an arrangement, it is enabled to supply spark producing energy of a level most suited for the operational conditions of engine and to reduce fuel consumption of the engine. At the same time, it is enabled to prevent air pollution by the exhaust gas and to minimize damage of electrodes of the spark plugs 17.
