PURPOSE:To input the whole of a character pattern without manual operations, by decomposing the character pattern, which is entered on a form, to small preliminarily registered basic patterns and recognizing these basic patterns. CONSTITUTION:A character pattern on a form is detected in every coordinate position by a detector 5, and these detected patterns are sent to a recognizing device 6 through a data line 4. The recognizing device 6 compares and collates patterns sent from the detector 5 with basic patterns stored and registered in a storage device 3 and recognizes which basic patterns detected patterns correspond to, and recognition results are outputted to an output device 2. |
