The invention relates to an attachment for a motor-driven portable chain-saw, which attachment enables special sizes, required as individual pieces, of polygonal timber to be cut out of a block even on building sites. For this purpose, a carriage is provided which can be arranged on the motor-operated saw and is displaceable along a guide bed which can be secured to a frame or directly to the timber to be cut. It is especially convenient if an angle strip is attached to the bed. The angle strip covers running wheels arranged on the carriage or separate supporting rollers in order to prevent tilting of the carriage and the saw during the displacement on the running bed. |
