<p>PURPOSE:To scan a recorded signal track correctly and to perform precise reproduction by recording the scanning start signal and end signal of a reproducing means on a recording body, and then controlling the run of the recording medium on the basis of variations in time of both said detected signals. CONSTITUTION:Signal tracks 2, 2'... formed on a recording medium 29 each consist of a tracking signal area 3 for recording a scanning start signal, a recording signal area 4 for recording information, and an area 5 for recording an end signal for ending s scan; and light is condensed by a condenser lens 26 from one side of the recording medium 29 and modulated into transmitted luminous flux, which is detected on a photoelectric detector 28. Once the detector 28 detects the scanning start signal in the area 3, an optical polarizer 25 deflects the luminous flux to detect the information signal in the area 4 and once the end signal in the area 5 is detected successively, a spot image on the recording medium 29 is returned to a scanning start position and on the basis of variation in time of the detected scanning start signal and end signal, the run of the recording medium 29 is controlled.</p> |
