<p>PURPOSE:The titled ink that is made by emulsifying an aqueous solution containing an inorganic acid or its salt in an oil ink by use of an amphoteric surface active agent as a stabilizer, thus being suitably used for printing newspaper by means of a high speeed lithographic printer. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.wt. of an oil ink, preferably made by dissolving a petroleum resin or cured rosin in a mineral oil and mixing the resultant vehicle with a pigment, are combined with (B) 0.05-5pts. of an amphoteric surface active agent, preferably a betain-type agent of the formula (R<1> is 12-18C alkyl; R<2> is methyl, ethyl) as a stabilizer, further with (C) an aqueous solution containing an inorganic acid such as orthophosphoric acid, methasilicic acid or its salt such as sodium or potassium salt so that the amount of the salt or acid reaches 0.01-2.0% based on component A. Then, water is added so as to be 50-120pts. in the ink composition to give the objective ink. The viscosity of the resultant ink is preferably 10-100 poise for a high-speed lithographic newspaper prining and 50-150 poise for general-purpose lithography.</p> |
