PURPOSE:To increase the lubricating effect of the titled device by a method wherein an oil communication hole is drilled in the outer race of one of ball bearings in such a manner that the outer end of the hole communicates with an oil supply passage and the inner end thereof opens in the outer race of the bearing at a position adjacent to a crank web. CONSTITUTION:An oil communications hole 6 is drilled radially in the outer race 3a of one of ball bearings 3 and 4 in a crankcase 1 in such a manner that the outer end of the hole 6 opens in the outer peripheral surface of the outer race 3a and the inner end thereof opens in the inner peripheral surface of the outer race 3a at a position away from the rolling surface of a ball 3b and adjacent to the crank web of a crankshaft 2. Further, an annular guide plate 8 in the form of L in section is fixed to one side of the outer race 3a adjacent to the crank web 2b so as to form itself a communication passage 10. When the crankshaft is rotated, a pressurized lubricating oil flows into the bearing 3 through the oil supply passage 7 and the oil communication hole 6 and a part of the oil reaches a needle bearing 14 from the oil passage 10, an oil cummunication groove 9 and an oil communication passage 13 to thereby lubricate the junction of a connecting rod 5a and a crank pin 2. |
