PURPOSE:To eliminate defective insulation of a coil winding at an inside edge by forming an insulating material consisting of glass, etc., on the inside edge of an excitation circuit. CONSTITUTION:A reinforcing member (e.g.: barium titanate) 4 having the coefft. of thermal expansion equiv. to the coefft. of thermal expansion of a head main part 1 and core 2 is formed on the inside edge of the core 2. Production of such head is executed by first cutting out a block 11 for a slider and a block 21 for a magnetic circuit, forming a slit to the block 21, and bonding the above- mentioned member 4 by glass or the like to the slit. A winding window 5 is then provided to the member 4 and the front edge 6 of the magnetic circuit is worked to a tapered surface, by which the block 22 is formed. After the block 22 and the block 11 are bonded by the glass, the block is subjected to prescribed working, by which the core slider having the inside edge covering is obtd. |
