PURPOSE:To realize increase in number of a cutter as well as efficient and prompt execution of feed motion of a cutter by generating said motion of the cutter of a pipe cutting machine by means of crankshafts and eccentric gears. CONSTITUTION:Configuration of a pipe cutting device is such that cutters 4 are shifted toward the center while being rotated round a pipe 1 by means of cooperative action of crankshafts 3 and eccentric gears 5. This allows easy increase in number and expedited reduction in size of the cutter. Improvement in cutting ability due to increase in number of the cutter is also expectable. Since cutting is exected on the basis of relative positions of cutters 4 and the pipe 1 to be varied according to the quantity of eccentricity of the eccentric gear 5, cutting and returning motions can be promptly executed. |
