PURPOSE:To improve the finish surface by corresponding the profile polishing device to a plural process in accordance with the sectional shape of the rim and automating processes from the smoothing work at the joint of the rim to the finish work. CONSTITUTION:The rim R fed into the rim throw-in device D is transferred to the holding device 12 of the first turn table A to be held while bringing the joint at the lower end. The deflashing work at the inner-circumference of the joint is performed by the first polishing device 4 through the intermittent movement of the first turn table A, while the deflashing work at the circumferential section is performed by the second polishing device 6 and the finish polishing of the inner-circumferential face is performed by the third polishing device 7. Thereafter the rim R is taken out from the first turn table by the inversion transfer device to be inversion transferred to the second turn table B then held by the holding device 76 while bringing the joint upward. The rim is polished by the fourth-sixth polishing devices 8, 9, 10 in accordance with the intermittent movement of the second turn table B then taken out by the take-out device E. |
