PURPOSE:To provide a positron camera which can reconstitute an accurate section picture, by driving and controlling opposite type detectors so that a sampling data density is brought to uniformity. CONSTITUTION:gamma-rays, generated at a disappearing time of positron, of a positron nuclide medicated to an object to be tested are detected by detectors 2 and 3 which scan and move along a rotary scanning orbit C and are positioned facing and opposite to each other. The detectors 2 and 3 are rocked in positions, located facing and opposite to each other, through a rocking mechanism and is directions of their respective tangential line of the orbit C. This causes scintillators, positioned facing and opposite to each other, to relatively move, and improves unevenness of probability for opposite gamma-rays to enter due to discordance of a center O of the orbit C with a nuclide position to detect gamma-rays wtih an even probability. As a result, a sampling data density is equalized to form a positron camera being capable of reconstituting an accurate section picture. |
