PURPOSE:To prevent the trouble of a bending mechanism due to freezing at low temperatures, by supplying a current to a bending operation wire to heat this wire. CONSTITUTION:A bending part 5 is formed in an insertion part 3, and plural joint bridges 17 are supported pivotally in series in the banding part 5, and the bending part 5 is covered with a rubber tube 18 and a steel tube 12 and is bent vertically. The joint bridge at the leading edge of a series of joint bridges 17 is fixed to a tip constituting part 16 in the insulation, and one ends of a bending operation wire 19 are fixed to upper and lower parts of the inside circumference of this joint bridge. The bending operation wire 19 consists of a conductive metal and is connected to a relay wire 21 through insulating joints 20 in an operation part 2, and this wire 21 is fixed to a drum 23 which is fixed axially to an operation knob 6. The bending operation wire 19 is connected electrically to a lead wire 26 in the operation part 2 and is heated by the supply of a current, and therefore, the wire 19, a guide tube 25, and receivers 24 are not frozen even if the endoscope is used at a low temperature. |
