PURPOSE:To provide stability against alkalis, high sensitivity and ease of production by impregnating sodium nitroprussiate, an alkaline buffer material, water soluble amino acid, and org. acids soluble in org. solvents and drying these. CONSTITUTION:An absorptive carrier such as filter paper or glass fiber paper is immersed in alkaline buffer and amino acid solns. and is dried. This carrier is immersed in sodium nitroprussiate and org. acid solns. and is dried. The buffer used in the 1st treatment is the one that provides 8-10pH, for which sodium triphosphate, sodium diphosphate, borate, carbonate ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, etc. are particularly useful. The amino acid may be any as far as it is a water soluble amino acid, and more preferably it is glycine or alanine. It is possible to protect sodium nitroprussiate against the harmful effect of alkaline materials during storage by using the org. acid soluble in org. solvents in this way. |
