PURPOSE:To reduce the used amount of an organic solvent, and to improve electromagnetic transducing characteristics, by using a polyvinyl butyral resin and a compound which is liquid at normal temperature together as a resin component for manufacturing a magnetic paint. CONSTITUTION:A resin component which consists of an acrylic resin (oligomerous resin with 500-20,000 mean molecular weight) which is liquid at normal temperature and has functional groups, capable of reacting with isocyanate groups such as hydroxyl groups and carboxyl groups, in a molecule, a multifunctional isocyanate compound which is liquid at normal temperature and has at least two free isocyanate groups in a molecule, and polyvinyl butyral is mixed with an organic solvent together with a ferromagnetic material, thus preparing a magnetic paint for magnetic recording media. |
