The invention relates to a device which serves for introduction into a shuttering for a concrete structural part, is intended for retaining steel connecting members to be anchored in the concrete structural part and has a strip-shaped retaining element which is to be fastened in the shuttering. The steel-connecting-member end regions, to be bent out for the connection of a further concrete structural part to be connected at a later date, are embedded in the retaining element at least in two rows such that those end regions lying essentially in the longitudinal direction of the strip-shaped retaining element overlap in each row, and steel-connecting-member anchoring regions, used for anchoring in the concrete structural part, project out of the retaining element on one surface side. The novelty imparted to said device by the invention is that the retaining element consists of a mixture of cement or synthetic resin with one or more of the following additives: asbestos, wood fibres, wood chips, shredded or comminuted waste paper, shredded or comminuted waste paperboard and cellulose.
