The present invention relates to a device for lifting and transporting goods, e.g. crates, bottle cases etc, on or between two different levels, having a frame which is provided with wheels and has a goods carrier which can be moved under the goods when the frame is in the essentially upright position in order to lift the goods from their supporting surface by swivelling the frame about an axle which bears a wheel at each end, which wheels form a first pair of wheels. The object of the present invention is to provide a device which provides goods transport on two different planes and between the planes. The object disclosed above is achieved in accordance with the present invention by virtue of the fact that the device named at the beginning is characterised in that an additional pair of wheels is arranged in front of the first pair of wheels and has its wheel circumference mainly in the same plane as the first pair of wheels and the goods carrier, in that the axle with the first pair of wheels is mounted with its ends on a pair of arms which are swivellably arranged on the frame between the pairs of wheels, and in that the frame is provided with elements for bounding the swivel movement of the arms.
