PURPOSE:To prevent breakage of a solid electrolyte tube by accommodating an inner cathode container in which a cathode conductive material is stored in an outer cathode container, electrically connecting both containers, and accommodating the solid electrolyte tube which selectively permeates sodium ions in the cathode conductive material. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical inner cathode container 9 is elastically supported with a buffer 10 within an outer cathode container 8. A cathode conductive material M is filled within the inner cathode container 9, and a solid electrolyte tube 5 is inserted into the central part of the conductive material M. Stainless steel wicks 11 (fibers) are filled for safety in the anode container 4 and the solid electrolyte tube 5. Even if the cathode conductive material M filled in the inner cathode container 9 is expanded at high temperature, the inner cathode container freely moves to retard stress concentration on the solid electrolyte tube 5. The breakage of the solid electrolyte tube 5 is thereby prevented. |
