PURPOSE:To manufacture a titled element having a concavity of high hardness simply by press forming an engaging concavity, a concavity around its tip and an engaging head on a metallic wire by one process and cutting it into individual element. CONSTITUTION:A concavity 8 for forming an engaging head 3 is formed on a punch 7, and a protruded mold 11 for forming a dent 5 around the tip 4 of the concavity 2 is formed on a die 9. The concavity 2, dent 5 and head 3 are formed on a metallic wire 6 at a stroke in one process by the action of the punch 7 and die 9. Next, finishing press working is made by the concavity 13 of a punch 12 and the protruded mold 15 of a die 14. At the same time, cutting of individual metallic element material 20 is made by cutting molds 16, 17 along cutting lines 18, 19. Thus, a metallic element 1 provided with a concavity 2 and head 3 on one end, and a dent 5 is formed around the tip of the concavity 2. |
