<p>A window pane seal includes a cavity near the bottom sill which over almost its entire length is open to the atmosphere. The bottom seal has a cover profile, which near the top supports an outer seal at some distance from the sill. The window frame (1) has a top sill (8), bottom sill, and posts (9). The pane (5) fits in a groove (2) and is sealed with an inner seal (3) and an outer seal (4) of silicone rubber. The cavity (6) between the seals extends over the entire periphery of the pane. The bottom sill has a cover (10) which near the top includes a rubber seal (13). The cover is spaced by blocks (11). The arrow (14) indicates that the cavity near the bottom sill is open to the atmosphere, to equalise any pressure variations on the pane.</p> |
