<p>PURPOSE:To efficiently perform methane fermentation, by separating filthy water into low-concentration filthy water and high-concentration filthy water, and purifying the low-concentration filthy water in a purifying vessel only, while fermenting the high-concentration filthy water in a fermenting vat and then purifying the resultant water in the purifying vessel. CONSTITUTION:High-concentration filthy water is introduced through an inflow pipe 12 into the filthy water-inflow portion 4 of a methane-fermenting vat 2, let pass under a bottom-opened partition plate 3, transferred into a fermenting chamber 5 adjacent to the filthy water-inflow portion 4, and then subjected to methane fermentation. Methane gas generated in the chamber 5 is accumulated in a gas-reserving portion at its upper part and carried through a gas-discharge pipe 6 into a gas tank. On the other hand, low-concentration filthy water is introduced through another filthy water-inflow pipe 12 into the filthy water-inflow portion 11 of a purifying vessel 10, and mixed with fermented filthy water, fed from the methane fermenting vat 2, in the purifying vessel 10. The mixed water is led flow through the first aeration chamber 14 and a transfer pipe 15, and subjected to aerobic biological treatment.</p> |
