The electrolysis system for metal comprises two groups (1, 2) of electrolytic baths which are electrically interconnected by their terminals of the same polarity. The system contains two irreversible controlled rectifiers (3, 4), each of which is connected by means of its output (3a or 4a) to a corresponding member of the groups (1, 2) of electrolytic baths, and a control unit (8) whose outputs (8a, 8b) are connected to the control inputs (3c, 4c) of the irreversible controlled rectifiers (3, 4). The outputs (5a, 5b) of an irreversible controlled rectifier (5) are connected to the other terminals of the same polarity of the groups (1, 2) of electrolytic baths, and its control inputs (5c, 5d) are connected to the other outputs (8c, 8d) of the control unit (8). <IMAGE>
