WRITING INSTRUMENT WITH LENS PROVIDED ON BARREL FOR MAGNIFYING INFORMATION IN BARREL

A writing instrument such as a ball point pen or a mechanical pencil with information such as letters recorded on a recording member rotatably disposed inside the barrel and a lens provided on the barrel for magnifying the information so it can be seen. The lens (3) is formed at a part of the barrel (2) of the writing instrument in the axial direction. An internal ferrule (rotary ferrule) with information recorded on it is contained in the barrel (2). A rotating knob (1) is provided at one end of the ferrule (not shown ) and engaged with the rear end of the barrel (2) (See Fig. 4). The recording medium may also be formed of a sheet of paper (4) on which information is recorded and which is wound between an upper shaft (2) and a lower shaft (3) so as to be fed when the shafts are rotated (See Fig. 6).
