In this fuel pump, also called a filling pump, indications of the basic price, of the fuel quantity filled up and of the final amount to be paid by means of corresponding indicator instruments on the two operating sides located opposite one another are provided. For the purpose of a technical simplification of the filling pump in order to reduce its size or to accommodate accessories in filling pumps of conventional size, there is provided, on each operating side, only one set of indicator instruments, the activation of which is carried out as a function of the direction of extraction by means of a pulse-transmitting device solely on the operating side where the filling valve is in use. Pull/push switches or ultrasonic transmitter/receiver devices serve primarily as a pulse-transmitting device.
