PURPOSE:To improve recording sensitivity and signal to noise ratio even with a plastic substrate by forming an optical recording layer of a thin film which consists essentially of Te or Te alloy, etc., and is specified in the content of >=1 kinds of boron or boron compd. CONSTITUTION:The alloy sintered body of the composite which consists of the Te or Te alloy, etc., as the essential component and contains 0.1-30mol% boron or boron nitride, boron carbide, boron oxide or >=1 kinds thereof is sputtered as a target to form the recording layer on the transparent plastic substrate. The recording sensitivity and the signal to noise ratio are thereby improved even with the plastic substrate. |
