PURPOSE:To simplify the process of producing an optical disk and to improve quality by providing ring zones having a prescribed height to the inside of the inside diameter and outside of the outside diameter of the recording surfaces on a pair of disk-shaped substrates and integrating the substrates in such a manner that the recording surfaces are opposed to each other. CONSTITUTION:The recording layers 4, 5 are formed by sputtering on the replica substrates 1 formed with the inside peripheral ring zone 2 and the outside peripheral ring zone 3. Two sheets of such substrates 1 are adhered by an adhesive agent in such a manner that the respective ring zones 2, 3 are opposed to each other. The substrates 1 are provided with vent holes 6 simultaneously with the formation of the outside peripheral ring zones 3 at the time of stamper forming and are, therefore, capable of sufficiently dealing with the fluctuation in the atm. pressure of the outdoor air. The disk is constituted of one kind of the substrates in such a manner, by which the number of parts is decreased and the high-quality optical disk consisting of the combination of the simple constituting elements is obtd. |
