An electrical capacitor which consists of ceramic, tubular dielectric bodies (1, 2) on which metal layers (5, 6, 7, 8) of the foils are arranged in a fully adhering manner, and in the case of which the connections (14, 15, 31, 41) of the capacitor are electrically conductively mounted on the metal layers (5, 6, 7, 8) of the foils. In this case, two tubular dielectric bodies (1, 2) are arranged axially at a distance one behind the other. In each case one metallic connecting element (3, 4) extends through a central hole (13) in a tubular dielectric body (1, 2) as far as the outer jacket surface of the axially adjacent tubular dielectric body (2, 1) and is electrically conductively connected to the metal layer (6, 8) of the foil of the central hole of one tubular dielectric body (1, 2) and to the metal layer (5, 7) of the foil of the outer jacket surface of the axially adjacent tubular dielectric body (1, 2). <IMAGE>
