The invention relates to a spirit-level holder for formwork assembly work. A box profile made of metal with a spring cotter pin, capable of being used for formwork thicknesses up to 25 mm or up to 40 mm for plank formwork. The article is illustrated in the drawing and is open on both sides and at the bottom. The spirit level is held at the desired height by the spring cotter pin. After fixing the spirit level at the desired height, said spirit level together with the overhanging box profile is placed over the formwork. Knocking and nailing can then be performed without fear. The spirit-level holder is intended to enable the formwork setter to work more freely, especially when erecting the formwork for staircases. <IMAGE>
