Method for the continuous coating of webs having spliced joints. Elimination of web-splice induced defects in the coating of webs with an aqueous solution of hydrophilic colloids. The webs (17, 10) are butt-joined by a splicing tape (16) at their back side and are provided with a hydrophobic coating (18) at their front side at the splicing zone. The invention is particularly advantageous in the manufacturing of photographic material. |
