PURPOSE:To obtain a preheater which permits uniform heating of dies and easy attaching and detaching to and from molding machines by providing magnetic bodies wound with such coils as magnetic lines pass through the inside of the dies between the dies. CONSTITUTION:A preheater 18 consisting essentially of iron cores 20, 20A and coils 21, 21A is placed on a base 19 placed on tie bars 15 which are made movable in and out between stationary, moving dies 13, 17 by a carrying-in and out device. When the preheater 18 is grasped by the dies 13, 17 in such a way as to be fixed respectively to these dies and electric power is supplied from an AC power source to the coils 21, 21A, magnetic lines 22 of force pass through the inside of the dies 13, 17, by which induced currents are generated therein and the dies are induction heated. When the dies 13, 17 attain prescribed temps., the preheater 18 is removed together with the base 19, and the die 17 is moved toward the die 13 until these are joined. |
