NOZZLE FOR PRODUCTION OF BROAD AND THIN METALLIC SHEET

PURPOSE:To obviate the generation of fluctuations in the thickness of a broad and thin sheet by providing a nozzle with ejects molten metal toward revolving rolls for rolling and cooling by directing its large diameters and small diameters alternately toward the rotating axial direction of the rolls. CONSTITUTION:Molten metal is ejected through a multiholed nozzle provided with ejection holes of a large diameter 6B and a small diameter 6A alternately toward revolving rolls for rolling and cooling. The amt. of the molten metal in the part where the molten metal pools from the large diameter hole 6B and the adjacent small diameter ejection holes overlap is decreased by the holes 6A. In this way, the broad and thin sheet of a uniform thickness is obtained.
