<p>Stabiliser systems comprising a symmetrical triaryl phosphite of the formula I <IMAGE> in which R1 is tert-butyl, 1,1-dimethylpropyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl, and one of R2 and R3 is hydrogen and the other is hydrogen, methyl, tert-butyl, 1,1-dimethylpropyl, cyclohexyl or phenyl, and a phenolic antioxidant are particularly effective against degradation and crosslinking reactions in polyolefins, as normally occur during processing of polyolefins. This particular activity is especially evident from the excellent colourlessness of the product produced.</p> |
