The SZ twisting (stranding) device consists of a twisting disc (10), which is driven in a reversing manner, a tube store (20) and a stationary guide perforated disc (15). The twisting disc and tube store are driven at different rotation speeds. Provided at the output of the tube store (20) is a second twisting disc (30) using which the twisting elements (8) which are guided (through) by the tube store are likewise twisted.
