A herbicidal agent comprises (A) a compound of the general formula <IMAGE> in which n represents an integer from 1 to 3, R represents halogen, (C1-C4)-alkyl, (C1 or C2)-haloalkyl or NO2, and the R moieties may be the same or different. R1 and R3, which may be the same or different, each represents (C1-C6)-alkyl, R2 represents (C1-C6)-alkyl or (C1-C6)- alkoxy, and X represents oxygen or sulphur, and (B) (i) compound of the formula <IMAGE> or an ester or salt thereof, (ii) a compound of the formula <IMAGE> or an ester or salt thereof, (iii) a compound of the formula <IMAGE> (iv) a compound of the general formula <IMAGE> in which X represents <IMAGE> or (v) a compound of the formula <IMAGE> or (vi) two or more of the compounds listed under any one or more of B (i) to (v). The agent shows a synergistic effect against weeds in crop plants, especially rice. |
