PURPOSE:To store a multitude of bills in escrow by using rotary guide tubes in a bill storing device to be provided on a vending machine together with a bill discriminator. CONSTITUTION:When return commands are given under a status that two bills 7S, 7T are both inserted into a vending machine, a solenoid 45 is first energized to suck a movable iron core 46, and a return lever 43 is raised upward through a spring 44. The Bill 7T between gapped grooves 41D, 42D is lifted by means of this raise, and the upper end of the bill 7T is protruded into a conveyance passage 6 of a discriminator 3 side through a storing device 40. When the conveyance passage 6 is then reversed, the bill 7T is returned through a bill insertion port 5. On the first return command, a control circuit 47 next drives a motor 29 to rotate guide tubes 41, 42 so that gapped grooves 41C, 42C pinching the bill 7S are aligned in a straight line. Next, on the second return command, the bill 7S is returned through the insertion port 5. |
