PURPOSE:To prevent the unsatisfactory collection of folded papers in the bookbinding industry by starting supply operations, at the same time as the start of conveyor operations, from the first feed unit in sequence for each one-pitch movement of the conveyor so that folded papers are piled in sequence in the order of pages. CONSTITUTION:A multitude of feed unitsI-VIII supplying individual folded papers 4 in the order of pages are arranged in one line. Individual folded papers 4 supplied from each feed unitsI-VIII are dropped on a conveyer 2 with an one- pitch moving speed equal to the supplying speed of folded papers from the feed unitsI-VIII through corresponding individual attachments 3, and they are piled in sequence for collation as the conveyor moves forward. As soon as the conveyor 2 is started operating, the feed unitsI-VIII start supply operations of folded papers for each one-pitch movement of the conveyor from the first feed unitIin sequence, and folded papers 4 are piled in sequence in the order of pages and are conveyed forward in sequence as books M. On the contrary, when the machine is to be stopped, supply operations of folded papers are stopped from the first feed unit in sequence, and the conveyor 2 is stopped after the last feed unit is stopped and the final book M has been completed. |
