The bearing pins (18) of an earth boring bit are machined to provide an eccentric groove (20) on the lower face of each bearing pin. The lower part of each groove (20) is then filled with a bearing material (19) and the bearing material (19) is machined to coincide with the adjacent bearing pin surfaces. The unfilled portion (21) of the groove (20) on either side of the bearing material (19) forms a lubricant reservoir. <IMAGE> |
