A high pressure steam sterilized plastic container (11) holding an infusion solution (18) therein is prepared first by providing a flexible container (11) made of plastic material and holding an infusion solution (18). The container (11) is then sterilized in a saturated steam atmosphere which is pressurized by a gas inert to the infusion solution (18) and does not contain oxygion. The infusion solution (18) in the container (11) is not deteriorated after the sterilization.
