PURPOSE:To reduce the intensity of infrared rays radiated outward from a ship by laying an infrared-ray absorbing plate along the outer surface of an infrared emission part in the ship, and as well by providing a water ejecting means for creating a water film along the infrared-ray absorbing plate. CONSTITUTION:A cylindrical infrared-ray absorbing plate 3 made of acrylic synthetic resin is arranged with a space from the outer surface of a funnel 2. Further, there is provided an annular water discharge pipe 5 as a water ejecting means for creating a water film 7 along the inner surface of the absorbing plate 3. The temperature rise of the infrared-ray absorbing plate 3 due to thermal transmission from the outer surface of the funnel 2 is hardly brought about because of the cooperation of the cooling effect of the water film 7. Further, the infrared ray absorbing plate 3 which is made of transparent resin allows sun- light rays in the visual ray range having the highest solar emission energy to transmit therethrough. Further, since the infrared-ray absorbing plate 3 is subjected to the cooling effect of the water film 7, its temperature rise due to the absorption of the solar emission energy may be low in comparison with the outer surface of the funnel 2. |
