PURPOSE:To prevent occurrence of a sorter jam in a bin of reset motion, in an off-line type sorter, by inhibiting copy sheet counting motion and bin step motion for a prescribed time after resetting to normal from removal of jammed paper. CONSTITUTION:During operation of a sorter 2, if a copy from a copying machine main unit 1 is jammed at a side of the sorter 2, a signal S7 of a bin insetion completion sensor 23 is left as in H, and an H signal S16 by a time limit of a timer T3 turns on a jam display unit 8 through OR circuits O11, O8. If the jam is removed, the sensor signal S7 is changed to L, and the timer T3 is cleared, then a monomultivibrator M1 is triggered to change its output S8 to H. However, output of a timer T4 is held to L only for a period of pulse generation of this H outut and changed to H after the output S8 becomes L, thus misoperation, deriving from immediately setting a flip flop FF5, can be prevented. Accordingly, when the jam is removed, misoperations of a counter CNT and bin step mechanism are never be caused. |
