Cubicle doors for medium voltage switch gear are subjected to extreme stresses in the event of an arc fault. The invention relates to an arrangement for locking such a door 3 and for holding together the front of the switch gear cubicle 1. The door consists of a door plate 8 with hollow profile framework 7 and is hinged, for example, at its lower edge. In each of the side profiles of the door framework 7 there is a locking rail 12 which by means of an operating device 14, 15 can be moved up and down between a free position and a locked position. The operating devices of both the locking rails are connected to a handle 17 on the front of the door to move the locking rails simultaneously.
